Spotlight on: Cary State Forest

Enveloped by the ever-present slash pine, Cary State Forest plays host to one of the most diverse selections of wildlife in Northeast Florida. You can find white-tailed deer, bobcats, wild turkey and alligators living alongside rare and endangered species such as the Sherman fox squirrel, swallow-tailed kite and night-flowering petunia.
