The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ (FDACS) plant inspectors work to protect Florida’s agricultural industry and the public from the introduction and spread of serious plant pests. Plant inspectors enforce Florida statutes and departmental rules pertaining to the movement of plants and plant products. They also conduct routine surveys for the early detection of plant pests.
