Spotlight on: Little Big Econ State Forest

Little Big Econ is known for the narrow, winding Econlockhatchee River, which flows 17 miles through the forest and empties into the St. Johns River. With over 11.8 miles of hiking trails, hikers at Little Big Econ can experience the unique ecosystems including pine flatwoods, scrub, sandhill and the majestic oak-palm hammocks along the Econlockhatchee River.
