Certified burners can use the Florida Forest Service’s WebOBA to submit open burn authorization requests online.
The Florida Forest Service's Web-Based Open Burn Authorization Request (WebOBA) provides certified burners the ability to submit open burn authorization requests online. This system will increase the efficiency of the authorization process.
WebOBA is available only to Certified Prescribed Burners and Certified Pile Burners. If you are not a certified burner, contact the Florida Forest Service Field Office in your area for an open burn authorization.
Burners sign in using their customer number and password. Once signed in, you enter information about the burn, indicate the burn location on a map, and then submit the request.
This is only a request; this does not authorize the burn. The request will be reviewed by Florida Forest Service staff. If no issues arise, the request will be approved.
