Since 2015, the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) has conducted surveillance for Formosan termite alates throughout Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Leon and Wakulla counties during the termites' major swarm season from April to July.
