Explore Florida's state forests through our Trailwalker hiking program.
Are you a frequent hiker in Florida’s State Forests? Become a Trailwalker today! Trailwalkers can improve their level of physical fitness while experiencing the beauty of Florida's State Forests.
To become a Trailwalker:
Complete 20 trails from the designated trail list to earn the title of Trailblazer. Trailblazers will be awarded a rocker patch, a water bottle, and a certificate.
To achieve the title of Trailmaster, you must complete 30 trails from the designated trail list. Upon reaching this milestone, you will be awarded an additional rocker patch, a T-shirt, and a certificate. When combined, the three patches—Trailwalker, Trailblazer, and Trailmaster—create a cohesive pattern of achievement that signifies the completion of the program. It is important to note that you must successfully finish all three levels of the program to receive the complete design.
Are you seeking the ultimate hiking challenge? To achieve the status of a Trailwarrior, please continue to record your hikes in the Trail Program Portal. Upon reaching milestones of 250 miles, 500 miles, 750 miles, and ultimately 1,000 miles, you will receive your medallion for each milestone and certificate by mail. Additionally, the last 30 trails you have completed are counted towards this program, ensuring that you will not begin the Trailwarrior program with a mileage of zero.
