How to Obtain a Permit to Place a Cache in a State Forest

The Florida Forest Service permits geocaching within Florida State Forests, at the discretion of the Center/District Manager. A member of the public who wishes to install a cache in a State Forest must submit a request to the State Forest.

Once the request is reviewed and if it is approved, a State Forest Use Permit will be issued. Each State Forest has the authority to approve, decline or place restrictions on caches. Approval or denial of the request may be made by email.
