The following free training resources were developed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services with the assistance of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to help front-line cafeteria staff meet their required annual training hours through USDA Professional Standards.
The lessons are designed to be completed on the job in short sessions to avoid interrupting the daily operations of the staff. Each section contains multiple lessons and resources.
The lessons and resources are available for download for in-person training led by an instructor or food service manager.
They’re also available through our online training portal, where they can be completed using a computer, tablet or phone.
