Class "RI" Recovery Agent Instructor License Requirements

Any person who provides instruction to applicants for Class “E" or Class "EE" licensure must have a Class “RI” license.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a license, you must:

Be at least 18 years old.
Be a citizen or legal resident alien of the United States or have been granted authority to work in this country by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

You must:

Have been licensed as a Class "E" recovery agent for at least three years within the five-year period immediately preceding the date the application is submitted (a copy of your high school diploma or GED certificate is required), or
Be currently licensed as a Class "MR" recovery agency manager (for at least one year), or
Submit a copy of a bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree from a college or university with a major course of study in education, finance, criminology, criminal justice, police science, law or other course of study related to law enforcement or financial management, or
Have relevant military training or education received and completed during service in the United States Armed Forces.
