Learn how to change your address on a private investigation, recovery or security license.
You must notify the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) within 10 days of any change in the physical location of your business. The law requires you to return each license requiring revision to FDACS along with a personal check or money order made payable to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in the amount of $10 for EACH of the licenses to be revised. Please send your change of address notification, payment and obsolete license(s) to the address at the bottom of the page.
You are required to notify FDACS within 10 days after your residence or mailing address changes. You can change your address online or you can submit your notification in writing to the address at the bottom of the page.
The law does not require you to obtain a replacement license after a change of address. You may continue to carry your current license until it expires. However, if you would like a revised license reflecting your new address, please submit a written request for a replacement license to the address at the bottom of the page, along with a passport-type color photograph and a personal check or money order made payable to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services in the amount of $15.
