Ice vending and water vending machines operating in Florida are permitted and inspected by Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). Our inspectors conduct routine sanitation inspections of the units; we also sample and test the water and ice products for safety.
Operators of these machines must conduct routine testing of the water and ice products and retain the results for review.
To obtain a permit for an ice and water vending machine, you must apply for a permit at least two weeks before beginning operation to allow time for inspection.
