The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) has transferred the issuance of export certificates to SelectFlorida.

SelectFlorida provides export certificates for food and non-food items.

FDACS discontinued issuance of all export certificates, including the Certificate of Free Sale, on December 31, 2018.

SelectFlorida Provides Certificates of Free Sale

SelectFlorida is the state of Florida’s official international commerce organization, serving as a catalyst for economic development, economic diversification into targeted industries, and high-wage job creation for Floridians.

SelectFlorida is able to:

• Issue Certificates of Free Sale using attachments of invoices, packing slips, etc.,
• Provide digital or paper copies of notarized certificates,
• Collect payment electronically, and
• Provide certificates quickly and efficiently.

FDA Also Issues Export Certificates and Certificates of Free Sale

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) also issues export certificates and Certificates of Free Sale. The FDA allows for a request for language (with the exception of the attestation) to be modified or added on the following certificates; however, the FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) reserves the right to refuse any requests for additional language.

• Certificate to a Foreign Government,
• Certificate of Exportability and
• Specified Risk Materials Certificate
