1 ml of serum from swine in a serum separator tube (red top/tiger top) or other sterile tube; shipped chilled overnight. The PRV g1 ELISA is the official differential test for use in the Cooperative State/Federal PRV eradication program. All PRV samples will be screened with the PRV gB ELISA unless the pig or herd is known to be vaccinated with a g1-deleted vaccine and is being screen for exposure to the wild-type virus.
