Tissue or aspirate, body fluids, or feces in a sterile leakproof container or sealed bag; shipped chilled overnight. Specimens must be submitted as soon as possible, or at most within 24 hours of collection.

If positive for Mycobacterium growth, sent to FL-DOH or NVSL for identification.
