1 ml of serum from a canine in a serum separator tube (red top/tiger top) or other sterile container; shipped chilled overnight from Monday to Thursday.

Fast dogs for at least 6 hours prior to sample collection, preferably overnight.

Collect blood in a red top tube to allow clot formation. Centrifuging serum samples before a complete clot forms may result in the presence of fibrin. Ensure complete clot formation prior to centrifugation of samples, usually within the next 4 hours.
