The application period for the Citrus Packinghouse Equipment Cost Share program opened on August 14, 2025, at 8 a.m. EST and closed on the same day, as the number of applications received exceeded available state funds. Applications are now closed. In the event that the entirety of appropriated funds is not used with the current qualified applicants, the application process may reopen if additional funds become available.
$10 million has been appropriated for the Citrus Packinghouse Cost Share Program, which provides 80% cost share funding to citrus packinghouses for equipment refurbishment, adoption of new technology, or purchasing new equipment.
To be eligible, a packinghouse must be in operation, located in Florida, and provide a cost share of 20% of the cost to purchase or repair the equipment.
