The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) regulates commercial feed distribution in Florida.
A distributor of commercial feed must be licensed annually with FDACS.
Expiration Date
All licenses expire on June 30 of each year and must be renewed annually.
Fees
The licensing fee is based on the tons of feed distributed in Florida during the previous year. If you have been in business less than one year, the tonnage will be estimated for the first year and based on actual tonnage thereafter.

Sampling Requirements
Samples of feed distributed in Florida must be periodically tested by a certified laboratory to determine compliance with state standards. FDACS has developed a testing matrix to summarize the type and frequency of sample analyses required for

Submit information about all compliance samples through the Feed Licensing and Regulatory Website.
Mail your feed samples to the certified laboratory of your choice. Payment will be made directly to the private laboratory for their analytical services.
Analyses must be performed before June 1, and the results must be submitted directly to FDACS by the certified lab.
